What it means to be an ELITE Preferred Provider of Invisalign®
Dr. Ferreira was recently named an Elite Preferred Provider of Invisalign®. Advanced Orthodontics is the only Elite Provider in Northeast Alabama; and one of ONLY two Elite Providers in the entire state! To receive this title, you must achieve the highest level of Invisalign® case experience. It’s not something every orthodontist office achieves, as they rank in the top 2 percent of Invisalign® providers in the North American region. Having this distinction helps patients and referring doctors find an Invisalign® provider they can trust – one that has the knowledge and experience to create a smile you will love.
While every orthodontist who offers this revolutionary treatment is trained by the makers of Invisalign® to become a certified provider, there are different doctor designations based on overall experience and success with treating patients using the clear teeth aligners. As we announced Dr. Ferreira recently achieved the status as an Invisalign® Elite Provider based on his skill and expertise with the teeth straightening system. To put his achievement into perspective, here are the distinctions between different Invisalign® providers below.
The five Invisalign® provider designations include General, Premier, Preferred, Elite, and Top 1%. To qualify as an Invisalign® General Provider, orthodontist must perform at least 10 Invisalign® cases per year. To earn the designation of an Invisalign® Premier Provider, orthodontist have to have conducted a minimum of 50 total cases as well as continue to treat at least 25 cases every six months. In comparison, an Invisalign® Preferred Provider has to treat 100 lifetime cases and 50 cases a year.
The next designation is an Invisalign® Elite Provider, which requires the dentist to have treated over 300 patients with Invisalign®. Additionally, Elite Providers must also continue to conduct a minimum of 50 cases every six months. Lastly, to reach the Top 1% designation, dentists must treat 800 lifetime cases and continue to perform 200 cases a year.

Anniston business sponsors fall festival for UCP clients
Close to 90 children and clients of the United Cerebral Palsy day care participated in a fall festival set up just for them on Friday.
Dr. Andre Ferreira, orthodontist and owner of Anniston’s Advanced Orthodontics, had the idea to give these children a fun Friday as one of the business’s twice-yearly community projects. He said his business always tries to give back to the community, and this type of program is dear to his heart because he has a younger sister with special needs. His sister Nadia has Down syndrome.
Have you met Dr. Norris ?
As our practice has grown, I have felt the need to have a backup plan in case I could not come in to work or I if had to be absent to take care of family issues. As some of you know, my parents and sister, who has Downs Syndrome, live in Brazil. Being able to attend to their needs in case of an emergency is of utmost importance to me.
I have carefully selected Dr. Norris from our pool of UAB Orthodontic Residents and invited him to spend some time in our office. The goal was for him to become familiar with our patients, our team and, systems in case of an emergency. Well, the experience went so well that we have been working together for almost one year and we have decided to maintain his once a week presence.
I am always scheduled to be at the office with Dr. Norris, otherwise, you will be notified in advance. During busy times of the day, you may see Dr. Norris executing my treatment plan and giving parents / patients feedback on treatment progress. His presence in the office has also allowed us to maintain an efficient schedule, seeing the vast majority of patients with minimal waiting time.
Dr. Norris is a native of Alabama. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham. He earned a Masters degree during his orthodontics residency at UAB. In addition to the time he spends in our office, Dr. Norris is treating patients in his own office in Vestavia Hills, just outside of Birmingham. He is married and has three beautiful daughters. Next time you are in the office, please take the opportunity to meet him.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
